Introduction to Metal ClayYou roll, mold, shape, carve your design with this moist, pliable clay. Dry it, lightly sand, fire (most pieces can be fired with a butane torch), and polish. You design and create your own works of art. Best of all, (prior to firing) if you are not happy with your creation you can recycle it back into clay. Virtually no waste. Once your creation is fired, you are left with .999 silver which is the equivalent of fine silver. Unlike traditional metalworking, there are no expensive tools and equipment to purchase. You can carry what you need in a small pouch or tool box. You will be creathing THREE pieces of fine silver jewelry in ONE class using Art Clay (R). This medium allows anyone with a desire to create silver works of art! Make a roll over bail pendant, a Calla Lilly charm with a crystal center and includes some basic wire working techniques, and a dichroic glass pendant. You will learn three different and versatile skills that you can easily adapt to your own style. Fee includes all materials and you will take home three completed pieces of jewelry! Instructor: Sherry Stone Date: March 11, 11-3 Fee: $150 includes all your materials (does not include tools which are provided) You must register and pay for class 30 days prior to the date of the class.
